The Boat Yard and the Surf Shack, which both launched Friday, June 21, offer affordable food and drinks throughout the summer season.

The restaurants are part of the Island Time Hospitality Group, said Town of Oyster Bay Public Information Officer Brian Devine.

The tiki bar is a full-service restaurant that is open daily for lunch and dinner, depending on the weather. It is situated near the north beach on the ocean side of Tobay Beach, he explained.

The Boat Yard is located on the bay side of the beach. It is an outdoor food court with music and has five kiosks serving pizza, tacos, and salad.

The restaurant includes Rudy’s Raw Bar named after "legendary Massapequa athlete and Tobay lifeguard Rudy Fiovanti,"  Devine said.

The Boat Yard has a newly constructed outdoor stage, dance floor and alfresco cocktail bar for residents and tourists.

"The idea is a casual fun setting right on the bay for people to enjoy live music and a mini-vacation," Devine said

An official opening event was Friday morning at TOBAY Beach which Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and members of the  Island Time Hospitality Group attended.
